How we Began

Salone Community Law Hub was established as part of the growing network of community law hubs within the South London Community Law Network, founded by Askia Warne of CAD‑HR. Askia’s vision was clear — to restore law as a public‑facing, relational service rooted in dignity, responsibility and solidarity, and to build a movement where legal support is accessible to all, not just those who can afford it.

Recognising that legal problems rarely exist in isolation, SLCLN created a model where hubs are embedded directly within communities, offering culturally responsive, language‑appropriate and long‑term support. Salone Community Law Hub emerged from this vision: a place where residents can receive free legal help, early intervention, rights education and continuous accompaniment from beginning to end.

We stand alongside other hubs within the network — including Redeem Assembly, Francophone Lawyers Law Hub, The Beautiful, and Kabul Community Law Hub — collectively working to transform how justice is delivered across South London.

Our journey continues as we grow, learn and strengthen our commitment to community‑centred justice.

About Us

Salone Community Law Hub is a community‑rooted legal service dedicated to providing free, impartial and independent support to individuals facing civil and administrative legal challenges. We are part of the South London Community Law Network (SLCLN) — a people‑centred legal movement committed to transforming access to justice for underserved, marginalised, migrant, racialised, disabled and excluded communities.

Supported by CAD‑HR under the leadership of Askia Warne, pioneer of the Community Law Initiative, our hub delivers high‑quality legal assistance in trusted community spaces. We specialise in housing, welfare, immigration, employment, business incorporation, family law and wider social justice issues that affect the dignity and stability of the communities we serve.

Our mission is simple: to ensure every person can access justice with respect, clarity and meaningful support.
